Internal sales team stalwart Meg has made a welcome return to work following the birth of her first son - Sid. Sid was born back in June 2010 weighing in at a healthy 7lb 10oz. Since then Meg has qualified for all that is associated with young babies - the sleepless nights, endless nappies and a washing machine working 24/7! However from this month Meg is slowly getting into the role of a working mum. Meg covers customers based in the South East and is John May's internal sales support. We welcome back Meg and wish her the best of luck for the future. |

Bosch have a couple of dates and venues booked for their Video Solutions Tours on Tuesday 12th April at the Mercedes-Benz World, Weybridge, Surrey and 14th April at Haydock Park Racecourse, Merseyside. DM's new entry level Eco4 is a low cost analogue DVR designed for small scale security environments. The new model is a powerful, compact solution built around their NetVu Connected technology platform and offers instant access to all its controls through a simple colour-coded on-screen display and 5 front panel buttons. The small size and weight of the new Eco4 - only 203x152x51 mm and 1.1 kg make it an ideal choice for applications where space is at a premium. They deliver real-time live and playback viewing on every connected camera at CIF resolution, plus up to 4CIF resolution is also available. The Eco4 is supplied as a 500GB storage model or without storage to enable users to utilise their own options via USB. Despite its size the DVR includes all the essential security features you would expect including: alarms and relays, motion detection, networking and remote viewing, audio input/output and telemetry support. |

Vigitron’s ViewMate is a compact but powerful tool for installing and troubleshooting POE enabled IP cameras. When connected, ViewMate passes the POE power from the “POE In” Ethernet port to the remote POE device. The “Monitor” port provides direct network connection from the remote POE camera to a local laptop for focusing and setting up POE enabled IP cameras. ViewMate’s integrated 2 digit LED voltmeter provides an accurate measurement of the actual POE voltage delivered to the IP camera. It is compatible with IEEE 802.af, IEEE 802.at and most non-standard POE systems up to 30 watts for 100/10 BASE-T environments. ViewMate’s patent-pending design offers a small and rugged packaging with a built-in 3-foot Cat 5 cable. It is an ideal diagnostic tool for all installers working with both CCTV and IT POE systems. Bosch has launched the AutoDome 800 Series HD high-speed PTZ dome cameras. With 360 degrees of coverage, the cameras provide super resolution and day/night functionality, delivering high definition imaging in outdoor conditions. They solve a range of surveillance challenges for traffic and transportation applications, industrial sites, government facilities and car parks. A 1/3'' progressive scan CMOS sensor provides 200x zoom (20x optical/10x digital) and HD imaging to make it easier to identify fine features in a scene, such as faces or licence plates. 720p resolution at 60 images per second provides smooth, detailed video of fast moving objects. 1080p resolution at 30 images per second delivers six times the detail level of standard definition cameras ensuring crisp video even when customers zoom-in digitally to extend the camera’s range. In addition, the 16:9 aspect ratio increases situational awareness by maximizing the field of view without compromising image clarity. The 800 Series includes Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA) software that automatically processes video signals and alerts operators to potential security risks. With quad-streaming, the domes feature simultaneous streaming of high-quality video with differing frame rate and resolution settings for flexibility in system design. For example, customers can select 1080p or 720p HD video with H.264 Main Profile compression for live viewing and recording while sending JPEG images to a hand-held device. |

One of the first cameras to incorporate Sony’s new Effio chip, the new CMR-Series from LiLin delivers superior sensitivity, greater dynamic range and a reduced glare to satisfy the most demanding requirements. Featuring peak white inversion, the CMR-7284X3.6P removes bright light from a scene, e.g. suppressing the glare from a car’s headlights to improve visibility and provide superb picture quality. It also offers noise reduction and an adaptive tone reproduction function that improves the contrast of images in bright/dark areas. With built-in 40m IR LEDs to adapt to varying light levels and a 3.3-12mm varifocal lens the camera is ideal for external applications as the unit conforms to IP66. The CMR-Series includes an on-screen menu that allows camera settings to be made using the display. This function provides preset menus in eight languages and allows camera settings to be adjusted easily. Other features include 8 privacy zones, white balance, dual glass technology and a fully cable managed bracket and adjustable sunshield. The CMR-Series is supported with LiLin's 3 year warranty. |

Pecan CCTV has announced the arrival of the D053C Series - a new micro dome which offers an optional On Screen Display (OSD) set up facility activated by wired remote controller. Despite its compact size the D053C provides high resolution 520 TVL high sensitivity colour images for discreet external or internal surveillance. Even the housings, which are available in black or silver finish, have been designed in a new glass reinforced polycarbornate to be both lightweight and corrosion-resistant. The D053C’s key feature is its OSD capability developed to allow installers to set up and configure each camera individually and optimise the picture image specification to meet specific viewing requirements per location.
