Just a quick note to bring you up-to-date with all things Pro-Vision. The order has been placed to revamp our website, the design has been chosen and the work is now in progress. I understand that the majority of the site should not take too long to put together but the addition of a searchable database for datasheets - which is where the bulk of the time (and money!) is being spent - will be the deciding factor. Although the links at the top of this newsletter work they are just to a temporary site and will change when the new version goes 'live'. I can also confirm that the next product catalogue - dated March 2011 and this time containing over 140 pages of 100% branded CCTV and Access Control equipment. - will be at the printers within the next seven days and should be delivered in the next three or four weeks. Once printed it will also be available as a PDF download from the web. |

Bosch Security Systems has extended and expanded its MIC300 scrappage scheme which was due to finish on December 31st 2010 and will now run until March 31st 2011. Customers returning old MIC 300 series cameras are still eligible to receive a £500 financial incentive to upgrade to a new MIC model. Users returning their MIC 300 Series cameras will be able to use the £500 credit towards the price of a new MIC 500 Professional or MIC 400 series system - assuming the return is clearly a complete system and assessed as a genuine repair. The extension allows customers to utilise the scheme up to the end of the financial year. Full details are available from the sales team. |

The iPOLIS mobile app - available for free from the Apple App store - lets you view live video, audio-out and control PTZ from Samsung IP cameras and domes. The device can limit the number of users depending on the network traffic status. To locate the app simply search iPOLIS. |

As featured last year the DM Infiniti Thermal - an integrated PTZ camera and thermal camera unit - is now available. Comprising of a standard CCTV camera, thermal imaging unit, screen wiper/washer control and an integrated pan & tilt mechanism, the Infiniti is designed for installations where optical clarity is paramount and the sensing of heat signals is required. The side by side location of the CCTV camera and the thermal imager, all encased in the same housing, ensures that the operator has access to both standard CCTV and thermal footage of the same scene. With up to 36x optical zoom and a camera module that offers 530TVL and 0.01 Lux (Mono) sensitivity the CCTV camera provides an excellent field of view for day to day surveillance operations. With privacy masks, presets and patrols also included you get all the functionality of a precision dome with the benefit of the Infiniti’s additional integrated features - such as the thermal imaging unit which offers outstanding performance for night vision, heat sensing and surveillance applications - including the ability to provide visibility through haze, dust, fog and smoke filled environments. Featuring an uncooled high resolution sensor, an athermally stabilised lens and a choice of focal lengths the thermal imaging unit has a range of up to 900m and is ideal for long range surveillance as well as early warning systems. |

The new RX25X Multiple Protocol Auxiliary Relay Receiver from BBV, is designed to offer a simple, cost-effective solution to activate an auxiliary output - for example to activate a Washer, Wiper or Lights in a static camera application via a twisted pair cable. The compact dimensions of the PCB allow fitting within the camera housing. The people counting feature of the SND-3080C is part of the dome’s video analytics capability which works by simply drawing a virtual line or boxed area in a certain part of the scene. The dome then counts the number of people that cross the line or enter the box and the data can then be transmitted in XML or CSV formats at selected intervals to a predetermined location. The dome features true day/night operation with a built-in IR cut filter and can capture and transmit images up to 4CIF (704 x 576) resolution in real-time across a network. The multi-streaming feature offers the option of utilising H.264, MPEG-4 or MJPEG compression that allows users to select a method which best fits their requirements and network environment. With both Ethernet and BNC connections, the SND-3080C can simultaneously stream IP video across a network, as well as analogue video via coaxial cabling. In addition to retail applications the dome is likely to be of interest to a wide range of other market sectors including transportation, libraries, museums, car parks, sporting venues and leisure facilities. |

New features include:- Master/Slave configuration so multiple NVRs can be configured as one integrated Master/Slave system without using a PC.
