It gives me great pleasure to announce that Pro-Vision has been shortlisted for the PSI Premier Awards Distributor of the Year category. Proof indeed that whatever we are doing - we must be doing it right! Perhaps it's our philosophy of treating each and every enquiry with the same level of service - irrespective of its value, or our attention to detail, or perhaps that we have an advantage in only selling quality branded equipment and not 'switch-selling'. If you haven't traded with us yet - perhaps now is the time! Our sales team would welcome your call. The winners will be announced later this year but if you feel compelled to vote - follow the link (or click the vote now image): - |

As previewed on their recent road shows, Bosch have confirmed that their HD range will be the main feature of their display at next month's security flagship exhibition - Ifsec. Bosch see the HD range as the way forward in CCTV. A spokesman said “The level of detail in HD images provides extensive information throughout the whole scene, CCTV operators can recognise small features, such as faces or number plates, much more easily and all live and recorded content can be examined much more closely by zooming in whilst still maintaining a sharp image. The widescreen format also captures more useable image content, reducing the amount of empty sky or foreground in a scene.” All Bosch HD cameras conform to the ONVIF standard, ensuring they integrate easily with third-party security solutions. |

The bullet conforms to IP66 and is 12vDC operated. |

The HX Long, which is ideally suited to a range of home, business and rapid deployment applications, provides a multi-layered detection pattern covering an area of 24m x 2m. The two separate Pyro elements, mounted one above the other, can be configured for either ‘AND’ logic operation (i.e. small animal immunity) or alternatively configured for ‘OR’ logic operation. All devices are supplied with a fully adjustable bracket and a number of tamper options. There are four models in the series: two hardwired models - the HX-80N and HX80NAM (with anti-masking capabilities and an auxiliary input for additional directional detection) and the two battery operated (wireless) devices – the HX-80NRAM and HX80NRMATI both featuring anti-masking and small animal immunity. |

Samsung has introduced a new range of ONVIF compliant 3 megapixel cameras capable of displaying full HD 1080p resolution to deliver outstanding evidence grade images. The three cameras in the range, the SNB-7000 box camera, the SND-7080(F) internal dome and the SNV-7080 weatherproof vandal-resistant dome, all incorporate Samsung Techwin’s WiseNet2 DSP chipset which has been designed to provide users with the maximum benefit from the latest megapixel and high definition technology and includes Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) operation for use in challenging lighting conditions. Capable of displaying multiple resolutions from CIF (352 x 288) through to 16:9 format 1080p full HD (1920 x 1080p) and up to full 3 megapixel (2048 x 1536), all three models support dual-streaming of video using H.264 and MJPEG compression. The cameras can therefore be simultaneously used for real-time and mobile monitoring, high quality or high-efficiency recording, SD memory recording and/or e-mail notification purposes. |

The new D057 from Pecan has been created in response to requests for discreet covert surveillance in applications where dark and low-light coverage had previously required additional lighting. Whilst its outward appearance is identical to its predecessor, the D056C, Pecan’s new IR LED 560 TVL MicroDome automatically switches from high resolution colour (daylight) to mono (night time) mode. By utilising the same vandal-resistant aluminium housing installers can retro fit the multi-application D057 to their current D056C installations and make use of their existing wedge adaptors. This flexibility allows the new IR LED cameras to be fitted in critical areas alongside those where lighting is not an issue. The dome conforms to to IP67 and the LEDs cover an area up to 5 metres. |
